Curious about Jesus?

Many of our neighbours already believe that Jesus is important and honour Him as a prophet, but wonder why Christians call Him the Son of God or believe He died and rose again.

We welcome honest, respectful conversation about these questions. You will not be asked to hide your background, disrespect your family or pretend that your questions are simple.

What do Christians mean by “Son of God”?

Christians do not mean that God had a child through a physical relationship. The title expresses our belief that Jesus uniquely shares God’s nature and reveals God to us. Christians worship one God and understand Jesus through the witness of the Bible.

Why do Christians believe Jesus died?

The earliest Christian witnesses taught that Jesus was crucified and that His death was not a defeat. Through it, God dealt with sin and opened the way for forgiveness and reconciliation.

Why does the resurrection matter?

Christians believe Jesus truly rose from death. His resurrection is the foundation of Christian hope and the reason we believe He can be known today.
